Is your boat not quite performing the way it should? Perhaps the engine won’t reach its rated revs, or races past them. Perhaps there’s a vibration you can’t quite pin down, or the boat simply feels sluggish. A propeller can be in perfect condition and still be wrong for the boat it’s on.
A repower, a gearbox change, a heavier fit-out or a new way of using the boat can all leave the propeller asking the engine for more than it has, or less than it can give. Re-shaping tunes your existing propeller to suit the boat as it is now, so you get the performance you should be getting.
That last one is easy to overlook. Plenty of production propellers are made to a looser grade than Class I, and bringing one into class can be worth doing in its own right. You can read more about what the classes mean on our propellers page.
If you already know exactly what you want, we’re happy to work to your specification. If you’d like some help deciding, that’s what we’re here for. We’ll talk it through with you, gather the details of your hull, engine, gearbox and how you use the boat, and work out the right change with our sizing software before we touch the propeller.
Your propeller is measured on our Prop Scan system before and after the work, so every change lands exactly where it should and the blades finish in class. If you’d like a copy of the report, just ask.
Every boat is different, so we don’t promise numbers. But what customers tell us after re-pitching and re-shaping is remarkably consistent: smoother running, vibration gone, more speed and better fuel economy.
It’s work that suits commercial operators looking to bring their running costs down just as well as owners who simply want their boat to perform the way it should.
Tell us what your boat is doing now and what you’d like it to do. Ring the workshop on (02) 9890 1766, and the advice is free.
